VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL ....... Did you ever think crayons and markers would create a prayerful time in your life? Have you ever gazed at a feather and met the Creator of the universe?

4 evenings in August, beginning Sunday evening August 8 at 5:30 with a covered dish dinner. Intergenerational (all ages)! Come and bring a friend to enjoy and learn about Praying as the People of God. Each night will include music, art/craft time, opportunity for journaling, and will end with Compline/Night Prayers. Each night's prayer will focus on a saint in the Church Year. This summer's saints will be Ignatius of Loyola, Herman of Alaska, Laurence of Rome, and Clare of Assisi. Each evening will end by 8:45.

Monday..........Praying with Scripture/examen beads; encountering God in Scripture

Tuesday.........Praying by Gaze

Wednesday....Praying with Music

Call Jane Caldwell if you have questions or want to volunteer to help with VBS. Fruit, cheese and crackers will be served on weekday evenings, which begin at 6:30 instead of 5:30. People are encouraged to eat dinner before or after Bible School.

MIDWEEK STUDY GROUP resumes August 4 from 7-8:15 p.m. All are encouraged to come, especially those interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church. In August & Sept., we will reflect on some history and people important to our Anglican heritage, and continue group lectio divina (prayerful reading of Scripture). We will also take time at the beginning of each session for Centering Prayer. The week of VBS, this group will fold into the teachings on prayer for the evening.
