Christian Formation

Children . . . Youth . . . Adults . . .
being formed, everyday, either intentionally by making choices that develop our souls and our characters, or unintentionally by letting others choose for us.  At St. Matthias, we are serious about being formed as disciples, people who know Christ and want to make him known.

Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus . . .

Sunday School for all ages during Late Pentecost (September 13 - November 22) 9:15 - 10:15 a.m.

Sunday Morning Youth and Adult -- Gleanings from Wisdom Literature
The adult class will be studying portions of Wisdom literature from the Old Testament, following selections from the Sunday readings.  Occassionally, the class will combine with the Godly Play class to hear a related story.  Wood Caldwell, teacher.

Sunday Morning Children with Interested Youth and Adults -- Godly Play: The Story of the People of God
This will be both a story-telling time for children and an opportunity for those interested in learning to be storytellers.  Youth and adults who want to participate as storytellers either at St Matthias or in the community (nursing home setting, for example) are encouraged to make use of this Sunday morning time for training.  Occasionally, the Godly Play story will be told to a combined class of children and adults, and then the groups will break for age-related reflection.  Jane Caldwell, storey teller, trainer.

Call the church office if you are interested (981-5334).
